Yep, it’s true, I’m gonna attempt to put all that stuff in the same room together and (try to!) make it work – with a bit of TLC and some cute decor I think I may just be able to pull it off!
For me, one of the most fun and rewarding things about decorating is the process of hunting down a collection of bargains and then bringing them all together in an imaginative and harmonious way.
I guess it’s like a big puzzle, not one of those glossy thousand piece ones though, it’s more like a ten piece kids puzzle with dog-eared corners and even a missing nodule here and there which when put together right, although maybe not perfect, still fits snuggly and tells a story.
I feel the satisfaction when it is done at having found the pieces I wanted at very frugal prices and making them over to fit my style. However, during the process, I sometimes get overwhelmed at trying to figure it all out and get it done. But it is worth it and at least it is all paid for without going in debt!
I have no doubt about the fact that you are AMAZING and can pull of greatness!! :) shaunna
I can’t wait to see you work your magic in the master bedroom!
Oooo, I can’t wait to see what you do! I love the wardrobe! So many possibilities! Have fun!
Perfection is a subjective term. What may look perfect to one person might not to another~just because of differences in taste. So it’s not lazy to aim for less than perfect, it’s realistic. That’s my theory, and I’m sticking to it. :)
I think you’ll be able to pull it all off~and it will be gorgeous!
It’s always great to aim high. That being said perfect is what you define. If it’s comfy and inviting and just the way you dreamed it would be, then it’s perfect ….for you.
I like all the pieces you have picked and look forward to seeing how you incorporate them into your room with your wonderful touches.
Can’t wait to see it! I know you will work your wonder with it and it will be fabulous! Diana
I think you’ll do it and it will look great, Kristine! I hate matchy-matchy myself in furniture suites and always try to talk clients into NOT getting the sets that come together {especially if they are off to do it on their own without me}. I think mixing things up a bit makes for a more interesting and relaxed feeling room, too. Looking forward to your transformations! : )
Wow! I love blogging. Thank you for visiting us all the way from Australia. I just talked to a girl from Queensland and was longing to see your beaches. We look forward to seeing how you pull it all together. It is not silly, if it is, we are all a bit nuts!
Ooh… excited to see how this pans out. It’s going to be great!
I KNOW you can pull it off!! I’m anxious to see the end result!
Spectacular is in the eye of the beholder I reckon. And perfection comes in all forms doesn’t it? As long as it’s perfect for you that’s all that matters. And I have a sneaking suspicion that we’ll all think it’s perfect as well! Look forward to peeking :)
P.S. It’s fun when you’re silly!!
Bit of a motley crew you’ve got there Kristine but I am really looking forward to seeing what you come up with!! Especially the picture as I have a mirror with exactly the same type of frame and I am not too sure what to do with it!! Can’t wait to see you work your magic. Christine x
Okay I’m hooked, love a melodrama and like your cast of characters….
Hi Kristine, I know you will make it all look fabulous. I can’t wait for the next chapter in this interesting story. I also agree with the comments from Suzanne at Meridian Road. Have fun!
Hi Kristine, I will be so looking forward to your bedroom transformation..you have very inspiring photos for your inspiration and I have no doubt you will work miracles!

Kristine, great post! It all sounds very exciting, can’t wait to see the transformation :)
Perfection is aiming pretty high in our house, so I’m definitely prepared to settle for less. I think I would go out of my mind otherwise! I think we’re all a bit hard on ourselves too, I always look at all your beautiful homes and think they look fabulous :)
